Baby States: Trad tunes on Supro electric guitar, harmonica, bass, and Jeremy Gustin drums. Featuring Ben Davis, Alec Spiegelman, Bridget and Jeremy Gustin.
BB Gun: Ben Davis and Bridget Kearney duo. Largely inspired by Arthur Russell, Cuddle Magic, Lake Street Dive and Baby States. Is that weird? Duo version of some songs that were composed with an 8-10 person ensemble in mind means lots of exciting multi-tasking!
Bird. Fly. Yellow.: A quartet whose sound is like watching the final scene of Last of the Mohicans--highly dramatic, though you can't believe you stuck around for the whole movie. Their sound can also be likened to watching a rainbow over Kansas City dissolve, no, EXPLODE. The group swings violently, with shifts in feel even its members don¹t expect.
Ben Schwendener Band: Headed by lydian chromatic concept master and vintage keyboard aficianado Ben Schwendener and also featuring Mike Calabrese on drums, Eric Lane on keyboards and Bhob Rainey on soprano saxophone.
Books on Tape: An encyclopedic ensemble which plays songs Vilray Bolles, Mike Olson and Mike Calabrese wrote based on wikipedia random searches. Find out more than you've ever wanted to know about echolocation, the cold-blooded rat of Somalia, and zymurgy, through song!
The Fundies: In the words of Margaret Glaspy, "The thing that I like about having a girl band is not just that we're all girls, but that we've all been fucked over by men." Featuring Margaret Glaspy, Sarah Jarosz and Brittany Haas.
Jesse Harper: Amazing guitarist, vocalist and songwriter from Charlottesville, VA.
Land of Leland: Justin Keller's transcendent indie-rock band. Featuring Mr. Keller on guitar and vocals, Heather Masse on rhodes and vocals, Jeremy Udden on glockenspiel and clarinet, Bridget on bass, and Carlo Costa on drums.
