Bridget Kearney is an acoustic bass player and songwriter living in Brooklyn, NY.  She plays and writes for the likes of Lake Street Dive, Joy Kills Sorrow, Cuddle Magic, and occasionally some other bands!  She is the winner of the 2006 John Lennon Songwriting Contest for Lake Street Dive's "Sometimes When I'm Drunk and You're Wearing My Favorite Shirt."  She was recently pictured on the front page of The New York Times playing bass in a pink gorilla costume.  Bridget was born and raised in Iowa City, IA and went to college in Boston, MA, studying jazz bass at The New England Conservatory and English at Tufts University.  She has also lived in Shanghai, China and Rabat, Morocco.

"I want to go out, empty my pockets of whatever loose change might reside there, and buy up everything in the expansive catalogue of music penned by Kearney. I don't know how she does what she does, but everything that I've heard by this promising young songwriter simply turns to gold, and needs to be heard by the hoi polloi in the cruel harsh world at large." -www.popmatters.com
